HOSSEIN FARMANI:
Hossein Farmani is Founder and Chairman of The Lucie Foundation, Co-Founder of Focus on Aids and Co-Founder of The Palm Springs Photo Festival. He is Principal of The Farmani Group, whose roster of companies include PX3 (Prix de la Photographie Paris), The International Design Awards, FYI Design, Asterisk Press, The International Photography Awards, The Lucie Awards and The Farmani Gallery, Month of Photography in LA, www.mopla.org
JESPER THOMSEN:
A Central Saint Martins Graduate with vast experience in branding, photography, art and design. Owner of the private art gallery MEWS42 in London.
FUNDA ÇAKIR MEHTER
Currently residing in Istanbul, she has been working as a designer and media relations executive with ilio / Demirden Design. She has worked as a freelance art director and design consultant since she got back from Los Angeles, California in 2007. Funda’s work experience includes Levent Penso&Family, Ogilvy Istanbul, Çapamarka, Istanbul Film Studios and many other local and international clients. Attended Santa Monica College in 2005 for a 2-year degree in Graphic Design.
Being a member of the Farmani group, she had the great opportunity to work with Hossein Farmani from 2005 to 2007. During that period, she worked on International Photography Awards, The Lucie Awards, LICC, PX3 and Palm Springs Photo Festival, where she gained very valuable art, design and photography experience. Living in the heart of design and photography, with the help of Farmani Gallery, increased her creative and artistic talent to a great extent. In 2004, she interned at Iconisus L&Y in Los Angeles which is owned by Emrah Yücel. Graduated from Bilkent University in 2003. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Department of Communication and Design. Attended TED Ankara College between 1989 and 1999. FUNDA ÇAKIR MEHTER was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey.

IPF AWARDS EXHIBITIONS:
In the year running up to The IPF photo competition, photographers from Turkey and around the world will submit their work to IPF. A high profile panel of jurys will select winner of each category and the winners will be shown during IPF 2010, including a money prize for the IPF photo of the year.
LIVE PROJECTIONS:
Atmospheric outdoor night time large scale projections of themed photography for the general public in selected locations in Istanbul.
PORTFOLIO REVIEWS:
Young talent and emerging photographers will have an opportunity to meet numerous experts and have their portfolios reviewed giving vital feedback on the development of their careers.
PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITIONS:
Across Istanbul, photographic shows will be displayed across the city, engage universities, colleges and the arts community.
WORKSHOPS: Workshop lead by acknowledged photographers will teach new talents new skills and new directions.
